Crianza 2001
The interpretation of Pago
A wine that is the truest reflection of its origin.
- Varieties: tinto fino (75%) and cabernet sauvignon (25%).
- Alcoholic by volume: 13.5%.
- Soils: limestone texture with red clays and white loams. Low granulometry and high water retention.
- Altitude: around 850 meters.
- Harvest: manual, in boxes 15 kg
Elaboration:
- Ageing: 12 months in French and American oak barrels.
- Clarified with natural egg whites.
- Bottled: May 2003.
Sensory tasting:
- Color: Intense de cherry red. Very high robe.
- Aromas: Very ripe fruit well meshed with oak and vanilla. Toasted notes reminiscent of cherry, tobacco and black currant.
- Palate:Round, potent and full flavored. Well structured with the ripe fruit combine harmoniously with the vanilla-like flavors derived from the oak ageing.
