Crianza 2000
The interpretation of Pago
A wine that is the truest reflection of its origin.
- Varieties: tinto fino (75%) and cabernet sauvignon (25%).
- Alcoholic by volume: 13.5%.
- Soils: limestone texture with red clays and white loams. Low granulometry and high water retention.
- Altitude: around 850 meters.
- Harvest: manual, in boxes 15 kg.
Elaboration:
- Ageing: 12 months in New and semi-new French and American oak barrels.
- Clarified with natural egg whites.
- Bottled: May 2002.
Sensory tasting:
- Color: Very high robe and good cherry red color with some violet highlights that gradually turn into baked red clay.
- Aromas: Fruit and vanilla very well combined, con toasted notes and hints of cassis, slightly balsamic.
- Palate: The first smooth and full flavored taste becomes in mid-palate glyceric, meaty y persistent.
