Crianza 1999
The interpretation of Pago
A wine that is the truest reflection of its origin.
- Varieties: tinto fino (75%) and cabernet sauvignon (25%).
- Alcoholic by volume: 13.5%.
- Soils: limestone texture with red clays and white loams. Low granulometry and high water retention.
- Altitude: around 850 meters.
- Harvest: manual, in 15 kg cases.
Elaboration:
- Aging: 12 months in American and French oak barrels.
- Clarified with natural egg white.
- Bottled in May 2001.
Sensory tasting:
- Color: High robe and good cherry red color with some violet highlights that will disappear as the wine ages.
- Aromas: Fruit and vanilla well combined with toasted notes and a hint of cassis.
- Palate: The attack is somewhat mature, becoming in mid-palate glyceric, full flavored and persistent.
