The interpretation of Pago
A wine that is the truest reflection of its origin.
- Varieties: tinto fino (75%) and cabernet sauvignon (25%).
- Alcohol by volume: 13,5%
- Soils: limestone texture with red clays and white loams. Low granulometry and high water retention.
- Altitude: around 850 meters.
- Harvest: manual, in boxes 15 kg
Elaboration:
- Ageing: 12 months in French and American oak barrels.
- Clarified with natural egg whites.
- Bottled: July 1999.
Sensory tasting:
- Color: Intense color, cherry red shaded in violet.
- Aromas: Complex in the nose with aromas of wild berries, toasted notes and liquorice.
- Mouth: Intense sensorial impressions. Full flavored and glyceric, with the marked character imparted by well matured tannins.
