Crianza 2002
The interpretation of Pago
A wine that is the truest reflection of its origin.
- Varieties: tinto fino (85%) and cabernet sauvignon (15%).
- Alcoholic by volume: 15%.
- Soils: limestone texture with red clays and white loams. Low granulometry and high water retention.
- Altitude: around 850 meters.
- Harvest: manual, in boxes 13.5 kg.
Elaboration:
- Ageing: 12 months in New and semi-new French and American oak barrels.
- Clarified with natural egg whites.
- Bottled: May 2004.
Sensory tasting:
- Color: Cherry red with purple highlights and high robe. Cleanly brilliant with very attractive hues.
- Aromas: High aromatic intensity. Ripe fruit very well integrated with the toasted notes contributed by the wood and assembled with harmonious elegance.
- Palate: Smooth attack, glyceric, meaty, enveloping. Long aftertaste and lingering retronasal effect reminiscent of delicate spice notes..
